The island of Tobago
Tobago is a Caribbean island that is part of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Less developed for tourism than its neighbour Trinidad, it has kept its authenticity: wild beaches, primary rainforest and fishing villages where time seems to have stood still.
The island is renowned for its coral reefs, among the most beautiful in the Caribbean, its rainforest listed as a UNESCO biosphere reserve, and above all for the warm welcome of its people. It is this spirit — the authentic island, the easy pace, elegant simplicity — that this room seeks to evoke.

WHY IS THIS ROOM CALLED "ECONOMY"?
At 29 m², the Tobago Room is our most compact room, hence its attractive rate. It nonetheless offers all the comfort of Villa Hippocampe: a private terrace, a bathroom in black pebbles, a private pétanque court and, above all, immediate proximity to the sea.
CAN THE BEAM REALLY BE A PROBLEM?
A beam crosses the room at a height of about 1.90 m. For people taller than 1.85–1.90 m, this can indeed be slightly uncomfortable. We point this out in full transparency and suggest our other rooms to very tall guests.
IS THE PÉTANQUE COURT REALLY PRIVATE?
Yes, absolutely. The pétanque court is exclusively for the Tobago Room. Boules are provided and at your disposal throughout your stay. You can play whenever you like, without sharing with other guests.
WHY CALL IT THE ROOM "CLOSEST TO THE SEA"?
Tobago is located in the park, at the point closest to the path leading down to the beaches. Literally, you take a few steps from your terrace and you are already on the path to the sea. No other room offers such immediate proximity.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM STAY?
We favour stays of at least 3 nights for all our rooms. This gives you time to really enjoy the place, the peace and quiet, the proximity to the sea and, of course, the pétanque court!
